Patricia Ann Honaker (86) of Findlay

Patricia Ann Honaker, 86, of Findlay, IL, passed away on Saturday, November 6, 2021, in Effingham Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Effingham, IL.

Patricia was born on January 18, 1935, in Lakewood, the daughter of Charles and Ione (Felkel) Taylor. Patricia worked as a nurse’s aide at Shelby Memorial Hospital, now known as HSHS Good Shepherd Hospital, in Shelbyville for 35 years. She enjoyed working, sewing, gardening, rummage sales, taking drives to watch the fishermen and deer and spending time with her family.

Surviving are daughter, Lorretta (Harry) Evans of Cowden; son, Fred Honaker of West Liberty; three grandchildren: Melissa (Tony) Pigott of Shelbyville, Nick Evans of Cowden and Harry Jr. (Cindy Riley) Evans of Mode; five great-grandchildren: Serenity and Caden Evans and Dylan, Olivia and Abel Pigott; brother, Joe Taylor of Decatur and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Jonathon Poplett; four sisters and seven brothers.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, November 9, 2021, in Lockart-Green Funeral Home in Shelbyville. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will take place in Glenwood Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Highway Church of Christ, 704 W. Jackson St., Sullivan, IL 61951. Lockart-Green Funeral Home in Shelbyville is assisting the family.
