Erwin L. McCulloch, Jr. (59) of Effingham

Erwin L. McCulloch Jr., 59, of Effingham, IL, passed away on Thursday, November 4, 2021 unexpectedly at his home.

A memorial visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday, November 8, 2021 at Johnson Funeral Home in Effingham, IL. Memorials may be made to the family. Online condolences may be shared by clicking here.

Erwin was born on January 6, 1962, in Denver, CO, the son of Robert and Gladys (Hollingsworth) Hodges. He married Janelle Sechrest on August 3, 1996 in Wheat Ridge, CO. Erwin worked in the food industry for many years. He enjoyed fishing, playing darts, and bowling. Erwin especially loved his grandchildren and enjoyed playing checkers and hanging out on the porch with them.

Erwin is survived by his wife, Janelle McCulloch of Effingham; children, Darren Pruemer (Nicolette) and Amanda Pruemer (Derrick); grandchildren, Rosemary, Thadeous, Dean, Lorelai, Shayna, and Dominic; sister, Gladys Jean Clark (Skyler); stepsiblings, Jane Jennings and Ed Hodges; sister-in-law, Jeanlyn (Steve) Stockman; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Jennifer Pruemer; and parents-in-law, Ross and Esther Sechrest.
