Deloris J. (Manhart) Tabbert, 89, of rural Stewardson, IL, went to be with her Lord at 9:20 a.m. on Friday, October 29, 2021, at the farm.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 3, 2021, in Trinity Lutheran Church, Stewardson, IL, with Rev. David Weaver officiating. Visitation will be for 2 hours prior to the funeral on Wednesday. Burial will be in Stewardson Cemetery. Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Strasburg, is assisting the family. Memorials may be given to Trinity Lutheran Church, Trinity Lutheran School, Stewardson Lions Club, or donor’s choice.

Deloris was born June 23, 1932 in rural Stewardson, IL, the daughter of Walter and Pearl (Kull) Manhart. She graduated from Stewardson High School with the Class of 1950. Deloris married her high school sweetheart, Max E. Tabbert on February 17, 1951 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Stewardson, IL, while he was home on leave from the US Navy. They moved to the family farm in March of 1953. Deloris was a homemaker, a loving and supportive wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Deloris helped Max with the Tabbert Auction Service. She enjoyed going to her grandchildren and great grandchildren’s activities. Deloris was a lifelong member of Trinity Lutheran Church and Stewardson Lions Club.

Deloris is survived by her eight children, David (Judy) Tabbert of Stewardson, Sharon (Nick) Grieco of Stewardson, Bill (Lisa) West of Long Lane, MO, Donna Lankow of Stewardson, Diane Jack of Strasburg, Paul (Teresa) Tabbert of Stewardson, Dale Tabbert of Strasburg, and Chris (Karla) Tabbert of Stewardson; 25 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, brother and sister-in-law, Eddie D. and Barbara J. Tabbert of Hawthorne, CA, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Deloris was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 62 years; sisters, Gail (Don) Root and Lela Manhart; brother, Ervin Manhart, brother and sister-in-law, Billie J. and Arvilla Tabbert; and son-in-law, Bruce Jack.
