Mary Ann Pruemer, 89 of Green Creek, passed away Saturday, October 2, 2021 at HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church. Green Creek, with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to time of service, Tuesday morning at the church. Memorial donations may be given to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Mary was born January 21, 1932 to Herman and Mary (Doedtman) Apke at home in the country community of Green Creek. She married Edward R. Pruemer of Teutopolis on May 3, 1952 and he preceded her in death in 1976.

Mary is survived by her daughters, Linda (Philip) Mette of Green Creek and Betty Ring of Effingham; son-in-law, Andy West of Effingham; six grandchildren, Brian (Marissa) Mette, Aaron (Krista) Mette, Ann (Steven) Chamoun; Kevin West, Ernie (Susan) West and Sami (Forrest) Bishop; two step-grandchildren; Travis Ring and Durinda Brown; seven great-grandchildren and five step-great-grandchildren.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Janet West; infant daughter, Alice; brothers, Alfred, Norbert, Joseph and Richard Apke; son-in-law, Steven Ring; two grandsons and one step-grandson.
