Marilyn L. Crenshaw, 84, of Effingham, IL, passed away on Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at HSHS St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital in Effingham.
Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 2, 2021 at Woodlawn Cemetery in Effingham, IL. Arrangements are in the care of Johnson Funeral Home in Effingham. Memorials may be made to Evergreen Nursing Home Activity Fund. Online condolences may be shared by clicking here.
Marilyn was born on February 9, 1937 in Decatur, IL, the daughter of Oscar D. and Hazel F. (Walker) Taylor. Marilyn married Stanley Scott on June 9, 1953, and to this union, five children were born. Marilyn graduated from Toms River Beauty Academy in 1965. She later married Roy Crenshaw Jr. on December 8, 1981, and he preceded her in death on March 21, 2012.
Marilyn is survived by her children, Patrick (Deb) Scott of Toms River, NJ, Lesa (Doug) Glen of Barnegat, NJ, Sheryl Scott Conder of Mason, OH, Susan Scott of Effingham, and Doug (Pamela) Scott of Knoxville, TN; 10 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Roy Crenshaw; 2 brothers; and 3 sisters.
