Judy K. (Nohren) Williams, 70, of Cowden, IL, passed away at 12:05 p.m. on Sunday, September 26, 2021, in HSHS St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, IL.

Judy was born on February 7, 1951, in Shelbyville, the daughter of Warren and Lenora (Jackson) Nohren. She was a 1969 graduate of Tower Hill High School. Judy and Michael Williams were united in marriage on October 1, 1971, in Tower Hill Christian Church, and were blessed with nearly 50 years of marriage. Judy was a beautician for many years and treasured her time working with the children at the Rainbow Nursery School in Cowden. She was a member of the Shelby County Home Extension and the First Christian Church in Cowden. She also enjoyed camping, vegetable gardening, baking and sewing with her granddaughters.

Surviving are her husband, Michael Williams of Cowden; sons: Steven Williams of Lakewood and Timothy (Krysie) Williams of Findlay; granddaughters: Lauren Williams of Lakewood and Brieanna and Ivy Williams of Findlay; siblings: Danny Nohren of Lakewood, Janet (Steve) Dunas of Petersburg, Kathy (Wes) Weekly of Tower Hill and Debra (Michael) Benslay of Mattoon and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 30, 2021, in the First Christian Church in Cowden. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will take place in Mound Cemetery. Memorials may be made in her name for her granddaughter’s education fund. Lockart-Green Funeral Home in Cowden is assisting the family.
