Linda Louise Sheppard, 79, of Burlington, Michigan, passed away on Thursday, August 19, 2021 at Colonial House Assisted Living in Marshall under the care of Elara Caring Hospice.

A celebration of Linda's life was held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at the Tekonsha First Baptist Church with Rev. James Codde officiating. Visitation was held from 5-8:00 PM on Tuesday, August 24, 2021, also at Tekonsha First Baptist Church.

Linda was born May 2, 1942 in Effingham, Illinois to Leo and Dorothy (Martin) Edwards. She grew up in Mason, Illinois and moved to Michigan after graduating from Effingham High School Class of 1960. On April 25, 1965 she married Jack Sheppard at Cook's Prairie Baptist Church in Homer. Linda worked for 30 years at Clark Oil, where she was office manager. She was also employed at Marshall Moonraker restaurant, Village of Tekonsha and as a home health aide. She had a heart of gold and loved everyone.

Left to cherish Linda's memory are her spouse, Jack Sheppard of Burlington, Michigan; a daughter, Toni (Kevin) Ware of Burlington; siblings Beverly (Bob) Taylor of Gorham, Illinois and John (Karen) Edwards of Monticello, Illinois; grandchildren Luke Ware of Tekonsha, Lona Ware of Burlington, and James (Jennifer) Stevens; One great Grandchild Jackson, best friend, Peggy Jinks and family of Mason, Illinois; special friend Tom Abel of Tekonsha; many nieces and nephews; and her caregivers at Colonial House.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Junior Edwards, Sid Edwards and Joe Edward; and her sister, Fran Amett.
