Michelle Dee Blair, age 50, wife and mother of two, of Newton, Illinois, passed away at 1:32 PM Monday, August 30, 2021, at Union Hospital in Terre Haute, Indiana.

Visitation will be held 4:00-6:00 PM Friday, September 3, 2021, at the Meyer Funeral Home in Newton, Illinois. Services celebrating Michelle’s life will be held following the visitation. Michelle was born on April 29, 1971, in Sullivan, Indiana the daughter of Terry and Sylvia (Dodson) Woods. She graduated from Oblong High School in 1989, and graduated from Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College in 2011. She married Tracy Blair in 1993, at Mound Church in Willow Hill, Illinois. She was employed at Robinson Public Library District as the Assistant Director. She was a loving mother of twins, Austin and Ashley. Michelle was a dedicated supporter of her husband and children. Her favorite sports team was whichever teams her kids were on, especially the Eureka Red Devil football team. Her favorite bands were the Newton Eagle Marching Band and Def Leppard. Being a big supporter of her twins, she has been affectionately known as Mama Blair for supporting not only her children, but also, their friends as well. Michelle was a member of Scott Avenue Christian Church in Newton, Illinois. She was always willing to lend a hand to help those in need.

She is survived by her husband, Tracy Blair of Newton, Illinois; her children Austin (Bridget) Blair of East Peoria, Illinois; Ashley (Jake) Grochowsky of Newton, Illinois; her parents, Terry and Sylvia Woods of Oblong, Illinois; her siblings, Scott (Angie) Woods, Chris Woods, Becky Woods, and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins.

Michelle was preceded in death by her grandparents Mack and Marie Woods, Clyde and Vertus Dodson, and a niece, Jenny Woods.
