Charles L. "Chuck" Prince (86) of Windsor

Charles L. “Chuck” Prince, 86, of Windsor IL. passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, August 26, 2021 at 4:50 a.m., surrounded by family.

Chuck was born on June 20, 1935 in Louisville KY, the son of Clarence and Nannie Belle Prince. He served in the United States Army from 1953-1956. He married Karla Lane April 1, 1979 in Buchanan, Michigan. Growing up Chuck loved telling stories of his grandfather and moonshine from the boot hills of Kentucky. Playing guitar, the harmonica, and listening to the old-time country music, were just a few of his favorite past times. We also can’t forget the times on FaceBook and his countless FaceBook jail sentences . Chuck had a passion for driving truck. He started out delivering furniture for his dad’s business in the 1950’s to driving from coast to coast and became a member of the Million-Mile Club. He retired in 2016.

Chuck is survived by his clan, Wife and best friend Karla of 42 years of Windsor IL. Children- Pamela Lynch of Graysville TN, Lorrie (Gary) Wright of Leonidas MI, Steven (Karen) Prince of Lakewood CO, Ronda (Joshua) Heath of Mayfield KY, Kyla Doedtman of Effingham IL, Scott Prince of Hillsboro IL, and Brittany Prince of Mattoon IL. 33 Grandchildren, 31 Great- Grandchildren, 2 Great-Great Grandchildren, 3 sisters and many nieces and nephews.

Chuck is preceded in death by his parents, In-Laws, 3 brothers, 1 sister and a grandson. Memorials are suggested to the family C/O Karla Prince 415 N Sycamore Windsor, IL 61957.

A Celebration Of Life will be Monday August 30, 2021 in the Windsor Christian Church in Windsor, IL. Visitation will be Monday August 30, 2021 from 10:00 AM until Service time at the church.
