Bryan was born on February 20, 1959, in Effingham, Illinois, the son of Bernard and Marjorie (Rife) Miller. He graduated from Newton Community High School in 1977. Bryan started his career as a “grease monkey” at Miller’s Texaco Station, co-owned by his father and Uncle Ralph Miller. He ended his career working for the City of Pontiac, Illinois, and had a few different jobs in between. Bryan’s witty sense of humor earned him the title of “class clown” and brought laughter to his “audiences” throughout his life. Among his greatest joys were his family, dogs, annual trips to Jamaica, NASCAR and Indy car races, motorcycles, antique furniture, classic cars, and coin collecting. Chloe, his loyal canine companion of twelve years, was especially meaningful to him.

Bryan is survived by brothers Michael (wife Gayla) Miller of Bluffton, South Carolina, Stephen (wife Sheila) Miller of Toledo, Illinois, Mark (wife Jeanne) Miller of Newton, Illinois, and sister Barbara Long of Covington, Indiana. He is also survived by aunts Maxine Koontz, Adeline Miller, and Betty Carson, sixteen cousins, and nine nieces and nephews.

Bryan was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents Charles “Dee” (wife Faye) Rife, and John (wife Edith) Miller, seven uncles, four aunts, and three cousins.

In honor of Bryan, donations may be made to your local animal shelter.
