Randall was born on August 29, 1939, in Clay County, IL, the son of Cecil and Deana (Roberts) Poe. He married Linda Byrum on July 9, 1966.

Randall was a truck driver and hauled heavy equipment for the Mortiz Corporation for 35 years. After retirement, he drove for many companies and hauled grain for farmers. Randall was an avid mushroom hunter and fisherman and enjoyed camping with friends. He had a special place in his heart for his grandchildren. In his younger days, he spent time riding his motorcycles with many friends. A good day would be having a cup of coffee and sharing stories with family and friends. He enjoyed people and at the end of his visit, he may look you in the eye and say, “It’s a privilege you got to see me.”

Randall is survived by his wife of 55 years, Linda (nee Byrum) Poe of Dieterich; daughter, Tina (Scott) Britton of Montrose; two grandchildren, Maggie and Miley of Montrose; brother, Steve Poe of Effingham; and many loving nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and sisters, Linda Ranes and Patty Poe.
