Ian Alexander West (28) of Stewardson

Ian Alexander West, 28, of Stewardson, IL, passed away on Monday, August 2, 2021.

Ian was born on January 28, 1993, in Effingham, the son of Earl Timothy West and Diana (Miller) Clutter. He was a graduate of Beecher City High School in the Class of 2011. Ian was an over the road truck driver for Direct Lines, Inc. in Effingham. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, mushroom hunting and camping. Ian was also an excellent mechanic and had the ability to fix just about anything.

Surviving are his significant other, Elizabeth Reed of Stewardson; son, Alexander Thomas West of Stewardson; father, Tim West of Cowden, mother and stepfather, Diana (Tom) Clutter of Holliday; sister, Elizabeth (Cole Stacy) West of Denham Springs, LA; brother, Justin Clutter of Danville; grandmothers: Dolores Miller of Taylorville and JoAnn Huber of Shelbyville.

He was preceded in death by his grandfathers: Charles P. Miller and Earl West and brother, Nathan Clutter.

Visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Friday, August 6, 2021 in Lockart-Green Funeral Home in Beecher City. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 7, 2021 in Lockart-Green Funeral Home in Beecher City with Reverend Paul Bauer officiating. Private burial will take place in Hubbartt Cemetery in rural Beecher City. Memorials may be made in his name for his son, Alexander Thomas West and mailed to Lockart-Green Funeral Home, 302 W.
