Robert Franklin “Bob” Miller, 83, of Watson, IL, passed away on Monday, July 12, 2021 at HSHS St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital in Effingham, IL.

Private family services will be held at Johnson Funeral Home in Effingham. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery in Effingham with military rites. Memorials may be made to St John’s Lutheran Church, Effingham, IL. Online condolences may be shared by clicking here

Robert was born February 23, 1938 in Effingham, IL the son of Harold and Lorene (Boerngen) Miller. He married Patricia Katz on August 6, 1960 at the Church of God in Effingham. Bob worked several years at Fedders and retired in 2003 from World Color Press where he worked many years as a Maintenance Technician. He also served in the United States Army from 1962-1964 at Fort Carson, Colorado. He was a long-standing member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Effingham. Bob was a hardworking and devoted husband, father, and grandpa. In addition to his family, he loved wood working, tinkering with his garden tractors, helping his family farm and worked on equipment, and camping.

Bob is survived by his wife of 61 years, Patricia Miller of Watson; sons, Scott (Julie) Miller of Clinton, IL and Keith (Alicia) Miller of Yukon, OK; granddaughters, Kylie (Kyle) Reynolds of Forsyth, IL and Abby Miller of Clinton, IL; siblings, Darold (Carol) Miller of Newton, Roger (Sherri) Miller of Louisville, Larry (Susan) Miller of Mattoon, Sandra (Mike) Mietzner of Effingham, and Jack (Linda) Miller of Dieterich; and sister-in-law, Wanda Miller of Mattoon.

He was preceded in death by his father, Harold Miller; mother, Lorene Miller; and brother, Lowell Miller.
