Thelma Rose Kibler age 75 of Newton passed away Thursday, July 1, 2021 at HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital, Effingham, Illinois.

Memorial services in honor of Thelma will be held at a later date. Per Thelma’s wishes, cremation rites will be accorded. Crain Funeral Home, Newton is assisting the family with arrangements.

Thelma was born on March 20, 1946, in Boos, Illinois the daughter of Dane and Mildred (Shaw) Walker. On February 9, 1964, Thelma married Harold Kibler. He survives. In addition to being a wife and mother, Thelma worked for Dufrain Implements as a book keeper and later at Sherwin Williams. In her free time, she enjoyed flower gardening and being outdoors. She especially enjoyed the hummingbirds that visited her gardens.

Thelma will be loved and remembered by her husband of fifty-seven years Harold Kibler of Newton; sons Wayne Kibler of Albuquerque, NM and Marty Kibler of Albuquerque, NM; four grandchildren Mark (Krista) Kibler of Albuquerque, NM; Danny Kibler of Sullivan, IN; Jackie Kibler of Farmersburg, IN and Josh Kibler who serves in the U.S. Navy; two great grandchildren Audury Pearison and Riot Pearison Sullivan; brother Bill (Pat) Walker of Chicago and sister Sandra Beckman of Vero Beach, FL.

Her parents, brothers Ed Walker and Bob Walker and sister Wilma Brady preceded her in death.
