Patricia “Patti” Ann Taylor, age 68, of St. Peter, Illinois passed away at 3:30 p.m. Monday, June 28, 2021 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri.

Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 2, 2021 at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in St. Peter, Illinois with a one-hour viewing prior to the service. Reverend Ryan Meyer will be officiating. Burial will be at St. Peter’s Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 1, 2021 at Pagel Funeral Homes in St. Peter, Illinois. Patricia was born on March 11, 1953 in Memphis, Tennessee, the daughter of Clifford and Addie Mae (Stepp) Smith. She married John Taylor on December 21, 1974 in Godfrey, Illinois. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary Unit 380, square dance club in Farina. She was a HAM radio operator for several years. She enjoyed being the copilot for her husband, crocheting, singing, and spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her mother, Addie Mae Smith of Mountain View, Missouri; husband, John Taylor of St. Peter, Illinois; sons, Joshua Taylor (wife Banji) of Pontotoc, Mississippi, Shane Taylor (wife Kelly) of St. Peter, Illinois, J.P. Taylor (wife Beth) of Headland, Alabama, Simon Taylor of Portland, Oregon, Pete Taylor (wife Laura) of Douglas, Wyoming, and Gabriel Taylor of Houston, Texas; brother, Clifton Smith (wife Kristy) of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Harlee, Addie-Grayce, Rylee, Aaralyn, Colborn, Delenee, John Brogan, Emerson, Remington, John Cruse, Philip, Lorelai, Julia, and Zuriel.

She was preceded in death by her dad, Clifford Smith; in-laws, George and Mary Taylor; nephew, James A. Taylor; niece, Cari Benko.
