Kenneth Florido, 61, of Effingham, IL, passed away on Wednesday, June 23, 2021, at Effingham Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Effingham.
A celebration of life with military rites will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, June 28, 2021 at Johnson Funeral Home in Effingham. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday prior to the service at the funeral home.

Kenneth was born on January 31, 1960, in DuPage County, IL, the son of John A. and Helen D. (Devore) Florida. He married Dawn Mehl on April 20, 1988, and to this union 2 daughters were born.
Kenneth served his country in the United States Army National Guard. He was a loving father and grandfather and enjoyed cooking, working on cars, and anything to do with guns.
Kenneth is survived by his wife, Dawn Florido; children, Rachel Parker (Parker Borries) and Elizabeth (John) Shafer; grandchildren, Kayla, Brayden, Rylan, Raeann, Landen, Alayna, Jayce, and Destiny; and siblings, Ed (Pam) Florida and Theresa (Jerry) Brummett.
He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, John Florida and Maryann Huffman; and step-daughter, Kimberly Hudson.
