Zandra L. Sidwell (73) of Brownstown

We have a change in the service location for Zandra L. Sidwell, 73, of Brownstown, died at 2:15 p.m. Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at Aperion Care, St. Elmo.

A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Saturday, June 26, 2021 at First Baptist Church in Brownstown with Rev. Olen Evans officiating. Memorials may be made to Second Chance Animal Rescue of Fayette County, Vandalia. Gieseking Funeral Home, Brownstown is assisting the family with arrangements.

Zandra Lea Sidwell was born on Saturday, January 3, 1948 in Vandalia to William Francis and Vernus (Chatham) Lytle of Brownstown. Zandra married Darrel Sidwell on May 10, 1968 and they enjoyed 49 years of marriage before divorcing. Zandra was a homemaker for many years. She held many side jobs throughout the years selling makeup and jewelry, as well as doing taxes. Later she opened New Beginnings Resale Shop, Backroom Video, and Tropical Sno in Brownstown.

She is survived by her son Darrel E. Sidwell II (wife Michelle) of Cibolo, TX, Her grand-daughter Amanda Bannister (husband Brian) and great grandsons Calvin and Lyndon Bannister all of Altamont, IL. Step children Brad Sidwell (wife Nikki) of Brownstown, Greg Sidwell (wife Debbie) of Brownstown, and Jill Wright of Vandalia. Step grandchildren, Carrie Sidwell of Brownstown, Ryan Sidwell (Ketra) of Kinmundy, Sherry Sidwell of Brownstown, Breann Milano of Salem, Josh Sidwell of Vandalia, and Jacob Cook of Vandalia and step great-grandchildren.

Zandra was preceded in death by her parents, her Brother William Lytle II, and her daughter Lynn Ann Wright.
