Ronald E. O’Dell, 60, of Altamont, died at 1:08 p.m., Sunday, June 13, 2021 at home surrounded by his family.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 19, 2021 at Sidener Cemetery, rural St. Elmo with Robert O’Dell officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., Friday, June 18, 2021 at Gieseking Funeral Home, Altamont. Memorials may be made to the donor’s choice. Online condolences may be expressed by clicking here.
Ronald Eric O’Dell was born on Saturday, March 18, 1961 at the Stewart Air Force Base, TN to Robert E., Sr.and Sandra (Richardson) O’Dell. He was a member of the First Church of God, St. Elmo and the Elk’s Club, Effingham. He had been employed at Curry Construction and MBI, Inc. and was an independent OTR driver.
He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Sandra and Harry Braasch of Altamont; son, Alex (Tia) O’Dell of Altamont; daughter, Kristin (Philip) Coats of Oklahoma City, OK and Audrey O’Dell of Asheville, NC; brothers, Robert E., Jr (Linda) of Unionville, TN, Richard O’Dell of Altamont, and Dallas O’Dell of Lacey, WA; sister, Bobbye Archer of Corpus Christi, TX; 6 grandchildren, Gabriel Coats, Rebekkah Coats, Peyton O’Dell, Greyson O’Dell, Lydia Coats and Kleyton O’Dell.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents and father.
