Inez Ruth Sidwell, 86, of Vandalia, Illinois, passed away Monday, May 24, 2021, at her son's home in Brownstown, IL.
Services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, May 29, 2021, at Unity Baptist Church, Vandalia, IL, with Rev. Michael Plummer officiating. Burial will follow at Fairlawn Cemetery, Vandalia, IL. Visitation will be held from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM, Saturday, May 29, 2021, prior to the service, at Unity Baptist Church, Vandalia, IL. Memorials: Fayette Co. Cancer Fund, Vandalia, IL. She was born February 18, 1935, in Mason, IL, the daughter of James Russell & Ida Matilda (Campton) Vanpelt. She was a laborer at Crane Packing and a Department Manager at Wal-Mart, both in Vandalia, IL; and former member of Liberty Baptist Church in Georgia.
She is survived by: Son - Brian Westendorf & Tammy, Brownstown, IL; Daughters - Nancy Schmidt, Bethalto, IL, Brenda Denise & Jim, Palm Bay, FL, Becky Haremaker, Springfield, IL, Kay Miller & Everett, Coffeen, IL, Kathy Mueller & Rick, Jerseyville, IL, Linda Rigdon & Ty, Vandalia, IL, Rose Boudreau, Albany, GA, and Terri Flemming & Kerry, Decatur, IL; 19 Grandchildren; and 44 Great Grandchildren.
Preceded in death by: Her Parents; Son - Morgan Craig; 2 Great Grandchildren; Brother - James Vanpelt; and Sister - Esther Kemme.
