Blanche Bicking, 92, of Effingham, IL, passed away on Saturday, January 16, 2021 at HSHS St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital in Effingham.

Private family services will be held at Johnson Funeral Home in Effingham, IL, and Adams-Winterfield and Sullivan Funeral Home in Downers Grove, IL. Burial will be in Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery in Hillside, IL.

Blanche was born on January 20, 1928, in Collinsville, IL, the daughter of Walter and Christine (Battoe) Levingston. She married Edward Bicking on November 22, 1947. He preceded her in death in 1985.

Blanche enjoyed talking and visiting with friends and family. Family was important, especially her grandchildren. Blanche took pride in a clean house and enjoyed traveling.

Blanche is survived by her daughters, Linda (Jack) Miller of Dieterich and Teresa (John) Mugavero of Downers Grove; grandchildren, Shannon (Philip) Stuemke, Jacqueline (Jonathon) Akers, Jennifer (Nicholas) Tardi, Ashley (Michael) Principe, Sean (Ashley) Miller, and Meghan (Joel Stevens) Mugavero; great-grandchildren, Madison Stuemke, Mackenzie Stuemke, Addy Akers, Fiona Tardi, Layla Tardi, Ariana Tardi, Charles Principe, Damian Stevens, Lincoln Stevens, and one on the way; and siblings, Guy Levingston, Dave Levingston, Lucy Brooks, Loretta Martinovsky, Garry Levingston, Raymond Levingston, and Melvin Levingston.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Edward; and brothers, Frank Levingston, Lawrence Levingston, and Victor Levingston.
