Constance Rose Rieman, 84, of Teutopolis, passed away on Christmas morning at her home surrounded by her loving family.

A private funeral mass will be held at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Teutopolis with burial in St. Francis Cemetery. Memorial donations may be given to Catholic Charities or Meals on Wheels. Online condolences may be left by clicking here.

Connie was born on March 24, 1936, in Effingham County. She is the daughter of Robert and Gertrude (Nuxoll) Pruemer. She married Clarence Rieman on June 30, 1956.

For many years, Connie enjoyed traveling, shopping, playing pitch, and watching the Cardinals win. She enjoyed needlework and sewing for her family. She loved family events and was always the last to leave. Connie was known to enjoy a good fuzzy navel with a swisher sweet cigar. Above all, family was her greatest joy.

Connie was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, the Council of Catholic Women, and she sang in the church choir. Connie worked as a seamstress for Weber Clothing Store for many years before retirement. Until recently, Connie enjoyed activities at the Senior Center and TOPS.

Connie is survived by her children: Cathy (Tony) Hille of Mason, Debbie (Mel) Wolf of Spring Valley Lake, CA, Mike (Kim) Rieman of Teutopolis, Scott (Becci) Rieman of Effingham, Jeff (Angi) Rieman of Effingham, and Tracy (Chad) McMahon of Beech Grove, KY, 15 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren with one on the way, brothers Tom and Dennis Pruemer, sisters Judy Colburn and Doris Hakman, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Clarence, grandsons Brian Rieman and Wyatt McMahon, brothers Donald and Kenneth Pruemer, and sisters Betty Pruemer and Jeanette Bergfeld.
