On November 22, 2020, Tom Antonacci, 81 years old, was called to God's side.

Tom was born September 30, 1939, in Chicago, the son of the late Thomas E. and Mildred Antonacci.

Following his passion for the outdoors he moved his family to a farm in Eddyville and stayed 40 years. Realizing it was time to downsize, he moved to Effingham eight years ago, enjoying a simple life on Lake Sara. He was a farmer, heavy equipment operator in a surface mine, welder, journeyman, pipefitter, licensed steamfitter, volunteer firefighter, and an EMT. His passions were the land, hunting, and fishing.

Tom was very proud of his service to our country during his tour of duty in the Army. He was a life member in the V.F.W., American Legion, P.M. Mason, and a Shriner.

His beloved wife and best friend of 58 years, Janet, survives. He was so proud of his four children, Tom (Karin), June, Julie (Allen), and Jeannie (Jason); seven grandchildren, Sarah, Kimberly, Chris, Emily, Zach, Stephanie, Edward, and six great-grandchildren.

Following his wishes, he was cremated and due to Covid-19, there will be no services. Bauer Funeral Home in Effingham is assisting his family.
