Raymond E. Rogers (75) of Altamont

Raymond E. Rogers, 75, of Altamont, died at 9:15 p.m., Sunday, November 29, 2020, at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana.
As per Raymond’s wishes, he was cremated. There will be no services at this time and a memorial service will take place at a later date with burial to follow at Springhill Cemetery, rural Beecher City.
Raymond Earl Rogers was born in St. Elmo on Sunday, December 10, 1944, to Edward M. and Letha (Dial) Rogers. He retired from Fedders USA, Effingham. He was a long-time Effingham County Democratic Precinct Committeeman.
He is survived by his sister, Janet Rogers, Beulah Rogers, Margaret Rogers, and Dorothy Key all of Altamont; step-sister, Joan Jenkins of Sherwood, Arkansas; step-brother, Jimmie (Joyce) Rogers of St. Elmo; several nieces, nephews, and great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Raymond was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Linda Rogers.
