Mary C. Harrison, 83, of Bloomington, formerly of St. Elmo, died at 1:15 p.m. Saturday, November 7, 2020 at The Villas of Hollybrook, Bloomington, IL.

There will be no services at this time. Private family graveside services will be held at Sidener Cemetery, rural St. Elmo. A Celebration of Life service is planned and will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions are suggested to the St. Elmo Church of God or the donors’ choice. Gieseking Funeral Home, Altamont is assisting the family with arrangements.

Mary Carolyn Mathis Harrison was born on Friday, January 22, 1937 in Okmulgee, Oklahoma to William Hobson and Lottie Caroline (Willits) Mathis. She was a member of the Church of God, St. Elmo for many years, and served in the music program there as church pianist for over 30 years. In addition to being a homemaker and raising her family she was employed at Richardson Brothers Greenhouses, St. Elmo, early in life, and Blossom Paradise, Altamont.

She married Delbert Leroy ‘Bud’ Harrison on December 18, 1955 at the St. Elmo Christian Church. He preceded her in death on December 12, 2011.

Mary is survived by her sons; Marvin Lee (Yvonne) Harrison of Gold Bar, Washington and David Earl (Penny) Harrison of St. Elmo. Her daughter; Kathy Lynn Baucum of Bloomington. Her grandchildren; Dustin Evan Harrison, Deidre Nicole (Matthew) Dealy, Danielle Ami Harrison, Robert Derek Harrison, Erin Rachele Harrison, Amber Elizabeth (Elvis) Heistand, Dylan Job Baucum, and Desirae Andrea (Tyler) Henson. Her great-grandchildren; Colby Nathaniel Harrison, Sephan Lee Harrison, Sebastian Richard Harrison, Olive Tree Lee, Josiah Peter Dealy, Hadassah Harmony Dealy, Hannah Grace Dealy, Hosannah Juliet Dealy, Nathaniel Dewain Heistand, Alexander Wayne Heistand, Zoey Michelle Heistand, Gavin Andrew Jia Baucum, Tucker Alexander Baucum and Abigail Elise Henson.

In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, William Hobson Mathis, Jr. and her sister Donna Lee Hinton.
