James A. “Fish” Fuesting, 59, of Teutopolis, IL, passed away on Friday, October 9, 2020 at his home.

Funeral services will be held at 12 noon Tuesday, October 13, 2020 at Johnson Funeral Home in Effingham. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Effingham. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to noon Tuesday prior to the service at the funeral home.

Due to Covid-19 concerns, please wear a mask for all services and follow all social distancing guidelines.

Fish was born on July 29, 1961, in Effingham, IL, the son of Christopher and Louise (Rieman) Fuesting.

He enjoyed four-wheeling, fishing, hunting, and being with his family and friends. Fish worked at R&R Milk Haulers since 1988.

Fish is survived by his mother, Louise Fuesting of Effingham; lifelong companion, Sharon Lawhead of Teutopolis; children, Tammy Workman of Effingham, Jonathan Lawhead of Heartville, and Mandi (Joe) Miller of Bridgeport; grandchildren, Aaron (Bethany) Workman of Dieterich, Kobey Workman of Mattoon, Dylan Lawhead of Heartville, Elizabeth Lawhead, Xavier Lawhead and Seth Lawhead all of Newton, Sydney Miller, Laney Miller, Levi Miller and Kaysey Miller all of Bridgeport; siblings, Dennis Fuesting of Watson, Phyllis Swinehart of Bethany, Nancy (Charlie) Rohr of Watson, Kenny (Deb) Fuesting of Mt. Juliet, TN, Janet (Jim) Meyer of Watson, Susan (Brady Durbin) Fuesting of Effingham, and Mark (Nickie) Fuesting of Effingham; brother-in-law, Lyle Stewart of Robinson; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; and childhood friends, Randy Pruemer and J.J. Verdeyen and families.

He was preceded in death by his father; sisters, Carolyn Stewart and Linda (Dwight) Olinger; brothers-in-law, Dennis Swinehart and Mickey Couch; and nephew, Robert Stewart.
