Jerry Lee Hill, 79, of St. Elmo, died at 12:10 p.m. Tuesday, October 6, 2020 at his home.

Private family services will be held on Saturday, October 10, 2020 at Gieseking Funeral Home with Pee Wee Denton officiating. Public visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Burial will follow at Maplewood Cemetery, St. Elmo. Memorials may be made to the St. Elmo Christian Church.

Covid-19 protocol including, but not limited to face covering and social distancing will be required. Please be respectful of the health and safety of others.

Jerry was born on Wednesday, June 25, 1941 in Anna, IL to Myrtle Burris and was later adopted by Harry and Dorothy Hill. He was a graduate of Altamont Hight School in 1959 and married Jo Nell Reeder on August 5, 1961.

Jerry spent most of his life working as a semi-truck driver, and has always enjoyed watching episodes of MASH, Andy Griffith and John Wayne movies.

Jerry is survived by daughters, Stacey (Scott) Vonderheide of St. Elmo, Christy (Joshua) Kilzer of St. St. Elmo, and Jeri (Todd) Fry of Midlothian, TX; sister, Sue Whitley of Beaverton, OR; 8 grandchildren, Eli (Brandy) Lock, Levi Lock, Micah (Kent) Childress, Brenden (Emily) Noll, Jordan Noll, Noah Kilzer, Rebekah Fry and Natalie Fry; 9 great grandchildren, Makayla, Tristyn, Kade, Eli, Jaidyn, Paxton, Zaiden, Tracyn, and Gannon; great granddaughter, Zayli Osmon.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Jo Nell, 2 grandsons, Joel and Zach Lock.
