Dorothy Louise Milliman age 94 of West Liberty passed away Friday, September 25, 2020 at HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital, Effingham, Illinois.

Private services for the immediate and extended family will be held. Burial will be in the St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery, Dundas, Illinois. Cards of condolences may be sent to the Milliman Family c/o Richard Milliman, 16908 E. 300th Ave, West Liberty, IL 62475.

Dorothy was born on October 30, 1925 in Fox Township, Jasper County, Illinois the daughter of Kenneth Harry and Mamie (Metheny) Robins. On November 14, 1943, Dorothy married Orville Joshua Milliman. They shared seventy-three years together before his passing on June 5, 2017. To this union were born nine children, Orval Ray, Sharon, Beverly, Dale, Janet, Sandra, Nancy, Nick, and Richard. Dorothy spent her life as a farm wife, mother, and homemaker. She could drive a tractor, tend to the livestock and prepare a feast which always included a glass of her sweet iced tea. She was a faithful member of the West Liberty United Methodist Church and was a devoted 4-H leader. For several years, Dorothy served as the tax assessor for Fox Township. Dorothy and Orville shared a love for horses and mules. Passing this love onto their children, Dorothy and the family loved spending their free time trail riding, camping and enjoying God’s great outdoors.

Dorothy will be loved and remembered by her sons Nick Milliman, wife Jody of Newton and Richard Milliman, wife Terry of West Liberty; daughters Sharon L. Saunders, husband Bob of Fennville, MI, Beverly Tanner, husband Howard of Fairfield, Sandra Goebel, husband Larry of Montrose, and Nancy Tarr, husband Tom of Newton; son-in-law Jeff Meadows of Willow Hill and daughter-in-law Christine Milliman of West Liberty ; twenty-five grandchildren; 49 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great grandchildren.

Her parents, sons Orval Ray and Dale Milliman, daughter Janet Sue Meadows, three grandchildren, two great-grandchild, brothers Herman, Ormand, Eddie, James, and Louis Robins and sister Isabel Fritschle preceded her in death.
