Harold Leroy Wofford, age 73, of Casey, Illinois, passed away at 10:07 AM Monday, September 21, 2020 at his son’s home in Mapleton, Illinois.

Harold Leroy was born on July 18, 1947, in Cincinnati, Ohio, the son of Harold A. and Ruby (Ray) Wofford. He married Robia Fletcher on July 7, 2001, and she survives.

Leroy served his country in the United States Army 82nd Airborne during Vietnam from 1966 to 1969.

Leory was a police officer for Charleston, Illinois, from 1976 to 1981. He worked for First Student, starting as a bus driver in 1982, and became manager in 1996, retiring in 2011. Leroy also taught school bus safety for many years.

Leroy was an avid fisherman and hunter.

Wife of 19 years – Robia Wofford

Children – Jacob (Ann-Marie) Wofford of Mapleton, Illinois; Stacie (Tristan) Cregger of West Peoria, Illinois; Robert Allen of Peoria, Illinois; Erica Wofford (Karl) Baksai of Peoria, Illinois

Sister – Mernal Black of Casey, Illinois

8 Grandchildren – Catherine, Caitlyn, Bella, Jacob, Dylan, Bradley, Jocelyn and Silas

Leroy was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers Nathan, Norman and Willard Davidson and a sister Pauline Davidson.
