Carolyn Ann Smith, 78, of Centralia, IL, formerly of Cowden, IL, passed away at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, June 15, 2020 at SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Centralia, IL.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 20, 2020 at Lockart-Green Funeral Home in Cowden with Pastor Nate Harper officiating. Burial will take place in Mound Cemetery in rural Cowden. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service at Lockart-Green Funeral Home in Cowden.

Carolyn was born on September 8, 1941, in Odin, the daughter of Robert and Genevieve (Middleton) Soulon. She married Leo William Smith on November 26, 2004 and he preceded her in death on September 27, 2013. Carolyn enjoyed crocheting, knitting, working crossword puzzles, visiting Florida with Leo and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Surviving are her children: Dennis Irvin, Donna (Ronald) Oglesby and Sherry (Chris) Harford; five grandchildren: Alicia Bartley, Melissa (Joseph) Taulbee, Ronnie Oglesby, Christopher Harford and Rebecca (Gary) Monical; five great-grandchildren: Kayla Gable, Carleigh Taulbee, Chayse Taulbee, Avaya Davis and Ronin Jones and brother, Robert Soulon Jr.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Leo.
