Robert W. “Bob” Walker, 82, of Effingham, IL, passed away at 11:10 a.m. on Friday, June 5, 2020 at home surrounded by his family.
Private family services will be held with burial in Watson Cemetery in Watson, IL. Arrangements are in the care of Johnson Funeral Home in Effingham.

Bob was born on February 4, 1938, in Watson, IL, the son of William V. and Carrie T. (Ledbetter) Walker. He worked for Illinois Central Railroad until retiring after 42 years. He then worked for Moritz Concrete. Bob loved hunting, fishing and being outdoors. His greatest love was his family.
Bob is survived by his children, Pam (Doug) Heuerman, Bob (Carrie) Walker, Crystal (Tom) Vogt, and Mike (Beth) Walker all of Effingham; 13 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren; sisters, Louise French and Lucille Rush both of Watson; brother, Tom Walker of Watson; and sister-in-law, Nancy Walker of Watson.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Lee “Bud” Walker, sisters, Glenna (Jim) Arnold, Lorraine (Verl) Prather, Lenora (John) Rainey, and Albina (Claude) Jamison; brothers-in-law, Merle French and Alfred Rush; and sister-in-law, Edna Walker.
