Michael Whitehead (67) of Rural St. Peter

Michael D. Whitehead, 67 of rural St. Peter, IL died at 12:16 p.m. Saturday, May 30, 2020 at his home.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 4, 2020 at Arm Prairie Christian Church, rural Brownstown. A private family service will follow with Pete LeDuc officiating, and burial will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery, rural St. Peter. Memorials may be made to the donor’s choice. Gieseking Funeral Home, Brownstown is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.

It is recommended that guidelines set forth by the Center for Disease Control and Illinois Department of Public Health as they relate to COVID-19 be followed. This includes but is not limited to face covering and social distancing. During the visitation, only small groups will be admitted at a time. Please be respectful of others.

Michael was born on Sunday, October 26, 1952 in St. Elmo to Lowell and Phyllis (Jenkins) Whitehead. He was a father, a farmer, and a friend.

He is survived by; his girlfriend, Linda Dye, Vandalia; mother, Phyllis Whitehead, St. Peter; sons, Matt Whitehead, Jacksonville, Michael (Crystal) Whitehead, St. Peter, Chris (Jessica) Whitehead, Shobonier, Adam (Sarah) Whitehead, St. Peter; daughter, Jamie Whitehead, Effingham; sister, Diana Bogart, St. Peter; grandchildren, Jade, Haylen, Paxton, Oliver, Aliyah, Coy, Cooper, Odell, and River, and the mother of his children, Donna Whitehead.

He was preceded in death by his father.
