Ronald Lee McFarland, 75, of rural Wheeler, went to be with the Lord on Friday, May 8, 2020. He entered this world on May 15, 1944 of parents John and Goldie (Chapman) McFarland. He was the youngest of four sons.

Ron served in Vietnam from 1966 to 1968. Upon discharge, he worked at Fedders until 2008. On August 18, 1994, he met and married Carol (nee Currie).

Survivors include his wife; two brothers, George of Wheeler; Wendell (Shirley) of Rose Hill; and several nieces and nephews. A brother, Leroy, his parents and a sister-in-law preceded him in death.

Per Ron’s wishes, cremation rites will be accorded. Crain Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. His ashes will be buried in the Kibler Cemetery, rural Wheeler.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
