Esther Fern (Bell) Wallace, 92, of Windsor, IL passed away at 12:18 p.m. on Saturday, April 11, 2020 at Heartland Senior Living in Neoga, IL.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, a private graveside service will be held at Windsor Cemetery with Pastor Jeff Brookins officiating. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Esther’s name to the Windsor Christian Church. Memorials may be sent to Lovins-Lockart Funeral Home, %Esther Wallace, 207 N. Oak, Windsor, IL 61957.

Esther was born on December 3, 1927, in Lovington, to Frank and Maude (Crist) Bell. She married Ralph Eugene (Gene) Wallace on June 28, 1944 in Windsor. She was proud to have served as the Windsor Christian Church bookkeeper/treasurer for over 30 years. She also kept the books for her husband’s implement business. Her hobby was embroidering quilt blocks and putting them together in a quilt, a legacy she left for her children and grandchildren.

She leaves behind a son, Gary Lynn (Susan) Wallace of Effingham and a daughter, Peggy Jean (Rodney) Van Dyke of Louisville; grandchildren: Beth Rance of Effingham, Brad Wallace of Clayton, MO, Blake Wallace of Portland, OR, Andrea (Tyler) Jones of Terre Haute, IN and Megan (Heath) Van Dyke-Pittman of Effingham; six great-grandchildren and many special friends.

Preceding her in death were her parents, husband and siblings: Earl Bell, Dorothy Lane, Ross Bell and Albert Bell.
