Robert Eugene Dodd (71) of Montrose

Robert Eugene Dodd, 71, of Montrose, Illinois, passed away at 4:12 AM Sunday, March 8, 2020, in HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham.
He was born October 25, 1948, the son of Claude William and Bernice Eloise (Strater) Dodd in Mattoon. Robert served in the United States Army, he was a retired heavy equipment operator in Local 841 in Terre Haute, Indiana. He married Pamel E. White July 5, 1980 in Mattoon and she survives.
Also surviving are his children, Butch McDonald (Susan) of Montrose, Robert Dodd Jr. of Peoria and Kristy Dodd of Sullivan; four grandchildren; two great grandchildren; brother, Bill Dodd (Louise) of Arkansas and sister, Kathy Nichols of Mattoon.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents; son, Mark McDonald and his family and one sister, Karen Jordan.

A Celebration of Robert’s Life will be held at 3:00 PM, Saturday, March 21 in Robert and Pamela’s residence in Montrose. Burial will be in the Drummond Cemetery of Neoga. The Swengel - O’Dell Funeral Home of Neoga is assisting with arrangements. To express online condolences do so by clicking here.
