Joan Louise Baker, 78, of Charleston, formerly of Neoga, passed away at 10:56 AM Sunday, February 23, 2020 in the Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center of Mattoon.

She was born June 6, 1941 in Cumberland County, Illinois the daughter of Edwin and Mary (Fearday) Pardieck. She married Donald K. "Butch" Baker June 12, 1960 in Sigel. Joan was a bookkeeper for E.C. Baker & Sons of Sigel, Pyroferric International of Toledo and Biggs Electric of Mattoon. Joan enjoyed painting, gardening, sewing and volunteering at the Lincoln Home near Charleston.

She leaves her son, Kali Wolf of Charleston; sister, Sue Fitzpatrick (Joe) of Neoga and several nieces and nephews.

Joan was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Donald "Butch" Baker.

A Celebration of Joan’s life will be at 11:00 AM Monday, March 2 at the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Sigel with Pastor Earl Brown officiating. Visitation will be Monday from 10:00 AM until service time at the church.
