Ella Louise Van Scyoc, 87, of Neoga, Illinois passed away at 4:24 PM Monday, February 3, 2020 in her residence.

She was born July 8, 1932 in Trilla, Illinois the daughter of Simpson and Violet (Hopper) Fuller. Ella married William H. Van Scyoc October 27, 1949 in Toledo, Illinois, William passed away September 11, 2000. Mrs. Van Scyoc was a retired Custodian for the Mattoon School District in Mattoon, Illinois. She was a member of the Maranatha Baptist Church in Mattoon, Illinois and a former member of the Eagles Club in Mattoon, Illinois.

Ella leaves her sons, Benjamin Van Scyoc (Glenda) of Decatur, Illinois, William N. Van Scyoc (Gail) of Fayetteville, North Carolina and Danny Van Scyoc (Anita) of Sardis, Mississippi; daughters, Linda Croy (John) of Neoga, Illinois, Mary Bahrns (Dennis) of Mattoon, Illinois and Vicky Scruggs (Roger) of Sardis, Mississippi; brother, James Fuller of Mattoon, Illinois; thirty grandchildren; sixty-nine great grandchildren and thirty-two great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband William Van Scyoc, one brother, Noland Fuller and four sisters, Virginia Livingston, Katherine Mitchell, Naomi Haugh and Dora Rickleman.

Memorials are suggested to the Donor’s Choice.

A Celebration of Ella's life will be at 11:00 AM Monday, February 10 at the Swengel-O'Dell Funeral Home of Neoga with Pastor Virgil Baker of Mattoon, Illinois officiating. Visitation will be Sunday from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Long Point Cemetery of Neoga, Illinois.
