Wanda Lee Callahan, age 92, of Neoga, Illinois, passed away at 9:05 PM - Saturday, January 18, 2020, at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center in Mattoon, Illinois.

Funeral services celebrating Wanda’s life will be held at 1:00 PM – Saturday, January 25 at the Meyer Funeral Home – Bishop Chapel in Greenup, Illinois, with Virgil Cisney officiating. Visitation will be held 1 hour before the service. In loving memory of Wanda, memorials may be made to the St. Jude’s Childrens Research Hospital 262 Danny Thomas Place Memphis, Tennessee 38105. Wanda Lee was born on April 13, 1927, in Greenup, Illinois, the daughter of Earl Morgan Stateler and Edna Treva (Ward) Stateler. She married Stanley Callahan on May 21, 1949, and he preceded her in death on August 19, 2018.

Wanda worked at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center in Mattoon for 37 years, and retired just a few years ago. She was a member of the Eagles, Mattoon VFW Ladies Auxiliary.

Wanda enjoyed visiting with friends, square dancing and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Wanda is survived by: Son - Alan (Nancy) Callahan of Mattoon, Illinois; Son-in-law – Fred Wisniewski of Urbana, Illinois; Grandchildren - Sherri (Ed) Wilson, Mathew (Jessica) Stinson, Christi Stinson Daniels and Fred Callahan; Great Grandchildren - Kaleb, Ashley, Taylor, Kayden, Mason, Katelynn, Kamdyn, Karsyn and Nova. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter Treva Callahan, sisters Norma Jean Huddleston and Joan Taylor and a brother Jimmy Stateler.
