Sara Elizabeth Arnold Kirkpatrick, 33, passed away to be with her Lord, Jesus Christ and grandparents on Friday, December 13, 2019.

She resided with her husband, Tucker Kirkpatrick in Winter Springs, Florida.

Born March 18, 1986 in Effingham, IL, to Donna Doty Arnold (Beecher City) and John T. Arnold (Heartville).

She lived most of her life in the Orlando area where she married Tucker, the love of her life, on November 14, 2014.

As a youth, she loved to play softball where she excelled at playing first base and batted “clean up”.

Then, as an adult, she enjoyed her time on the water with Tucker, an expert salt water fisherman. The “together time” was especially enjoyable for her when on several occasions she caught the biggest fish of the day.

Sara battled cancer valiantly for 20 years. However, this major challenge did not for one minute deter her from achieving her life’s goal of becoming a nurse. Through it all, her dream became a reality in December, 2018 when she earned her degree and license as a Registered Nurse.

Sara is survived by her husband, Tucker of Winter Springs, FL; parents, Donna of Winter Springs, FL and John of Effingham; sister, Brittney (Franklin) Gates of Palm Coast, FL; nephews, Tyler, Chandler and Landon of Palm Coast, FL; uncles and aunts, Larry (Becky) Doty of Beecher City and Roger (Becky) Arnold of Minneapolis, MN. In addition to her loving family, she wanted us to add her lovable dogs, Kahn and Daisy.

She was preceded by her grandparents, Bonnie and Robert Doty (Beecher City), and Evelyn and Arthur Wayne “Pete” Arnold (Heartville).

Visitation will be held on Friday, December 20, 2019 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Johnson Funeral Home in Effingham, IL. The funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 21, 2019, at the Watson United Methodist Church, Watson, IL. Interment following the funeral at the Beecher City Cemetery, Beecher City, IL.
