Deborah Ann Lustig, 58, passed away Thursday, November 7, 2019 at her home in Effingham.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, November 12 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Shumway with burial in Oakridge Cemetery, Effingham. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday evening at Bauer Funeral Home in Effingham. Memorial donations may be given to Fear Nothing, Carle Foundation Guest House or to a cancer research program of the donor’s choice. Online condolences may be expressed by clicking here.

Deb was born July 10,1961 in Vandalia, the daughter of Roy and Virginia (Vogel) Myers. She married Leland J. Lustig on May 18, 1985. Deb was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and attending her children’s sporting and school events. Deb was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Effingham.

Deb leaves behind her husband, Leland of Effingham; sons, Derrick of Effingham and Dylan of Lombard; daughter, Vanessa (Chad) Kessler of Mode; granddaughter, Charlotte Kessler; siblings, Mike (Carolyn) Myers of Altamont, Gail (Larry) Kreke of Altamont, Becky (Don) Hoene of Sigel, Joe (Kathy) Myers of Tuscola, Roger (Julie) Myers of Effingham, Terry (Tammy) Myers of Blackstone, Wesley (Amber) Myers of Altamont, Tracy (Tamie) Myers of Hernando, MS, Jeremy (Rena) Myers of Altamont and Donnie (Anthony) Myers of Marysville, WA; mother-in-law, Madonna Lustig of Effingham; brother-in-law, Greg Lustig of Effingham; many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and father-in-law, Wendell Lustig.
