Janet Pauline West, 62, of Effingham, IL, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 23, 2019 at 7:07 p.m. at HSHS St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital in Effingham, IL, surrounded by her family.
A private family celebration of life will be held. Johnson Funeral Home in Effingham is assisting the family.

Janet was born on September 17, 1957, in Effingham, IL. She was the daughter of Edward R. and Mary Ann (Apke) Pruemer. She married Andy West on December 13, 1975.
Janet worked at the Iron Skillet Restaurant for many years and Lifetouch Photography. She loved to laugh and sing. Janet also loved spending time with her family and friends, especially her granddaughter, Aurora.
Survivors include her husband, Andy West of Effingham; two sons, Kevin (Shaona) West of Toledo and Ernest (Susan) West of Green Creek; mother, Mary Ann Pruemer of Effingham; sisters, Linda (Philip) Mette of Green Creek and Betty (Steve) Ring of Effingham; two granddaughters, Aurora West and Mollie Rodebaugh; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Edward Pruemer; and infant sister, Alice Pruemer.
