Alice Lorene Carter (82) of Mattoon

Alice Lorene Carter, 82, of Mattoon, IL passed away at 3:50 a.m. on Wednesday, October 23, 2019 at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Care Center in Mattoon, IL.
Alice was born on September 25, 1937, in Trilla, IL the daughter of Earl and Grace (Thompson) Beals. She and Billy Dean Carter were united in marriage and he preceded her in death in 1970. Alice worked at Kern Manufacturing in Neoga for over 40 years. She enjoyed watching television, especially old western movies.
She is survived by her son, Ronald Carter of Windsor and two sisters: Betty Gross and Dorothy Taylor both of Mattoon.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband and two brothers: Theodore Beals and James Beals.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 26 at Lovins-Lockart Funeral Home in Windsor with Pastor Patrick Fahey officiating. Burial will take place in Windsor Cemetery.
