James Michael Brady, age 65, of Watson IL, passed away on Monday, September 23, 2019 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, IL, surrounded by the love of his family.

James was born in Effingham, IL on February 10, 1954, the son of the late William and Wanda (Lowery) Brady. He attended the Watson Grade School and graduated High School from Effingham. He was swept off his feet on July 18, 1992 when he married his love Ruth Ann (Marlow) in the family barnyard with his faithful friend Andrew (the dog) as the best man. James was a member of the Watson Baptist Church. He spent several years employed at Fedders in Effingham, Effingham Meat Processing in Watson, Danny Hankins at the Village Square Mall, and then finished his time at Kirby Wood Products where he worked for nearly 20 years. James enjoyed playing music (Bob & the Poor Boys), watching old westerns, riding on his lawn mower and 4-wheeler that he won at the Watson Homecoming, coon hunting and joining the hunters at the deer camp and don’t forget his telling of tall tales.

James is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Ruth Ann; his children, Kayla Harnden of Dieterich, Lori (Joe) Cora of Braceville, IL and his 4 beautiful granddaughters; Michaela & Alana Phillips, AnnMarie Cora & Brylee Tuttle. He is survived by his siblings; Rhuben Wayne Morgan (Kathy) Wasilla, AK, William Patrick Brady (Maxine) Bethel, MN, Wanda Jean Eident (Jerry) Mason, IL, Rebecca Sue DeWeese (Leo) Effingham, IL, John Timothy Brady, Centennial, CO, Joseph Allen Brady, Watson, IL and many cousins, nieces, nephews and sisters-in-law.

James was preceded in death by his parents; William and Wanda (Lowery) Brady, son-in-law; Dennis Harnden and wife's son; Michael Troy Bushue.

Visitation for James will be held on Wednesday, September 25 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the Watson Baptist Church, 101 Old Watson Road, Watson IL. Funeral Services will be Thursday, September 26 at 10:00 AM preceded by a one hour visitation also at the church with Pastor Van McQueen officiating. James' final resting place will be at the Watson Cemetery with his parents. Following the burial, a luncheon will be provided back at the church. Arrangements are by Gieseking Funeral Home of Altamont, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name can be made to the Watson Baptist Church with much love.
