Larry Wayne Rogers, 69, of Farmington, Missouri and former resident of Newton, Illinois, passed away at 5:18 a.m. Monday, July 29, 2019, in Creve Coeur, Missouri.

Celebrating of Life will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, August 17 at the Farmington Community Building in Farmington, Missouri.  Burial with full military rites will be in the Mina La Motte Cemetery in Mina La Motte, Missouri.  Arrangements are under the care of Meyer Funeral Home in Newton. Larry was born July 29, 1949, in Ironton, Missouri, the son of Lindell and Virginia Maxine Rogers. Larry served his country in the Vietnam War. He enjoyed fishing and was an avid baseball fan.  His final days were spent with his mother and sister Jenny. They actually watched the All-Star baseball game the night before he passed.

Larry is survived by his mother, Virginia Maxine Rogers of Farmington Missouri; two children Michael Rogers and Gretta (Joseph) Moore, both of Newton; three sisters, Carol and Morris Dinges of Shenandoah Iowa, Virginia “Jenny” (Mickey) Dixon of Covington, Tennessee and Mary (Mark) Burtch of Newton; brother, Richard (Donna) Rogers of Pleasantview, Tennessee; four grandchildren, Jason Burke, Cody Burke, Corey Berry, and Michelle Rogers and six great-grandchildren.

Larry was preceded in death by his father Lindell, wife Patricia Krass Rogers and sisters, Linda and Beverly.
