Dale E. Stone, 65, died at 4:15 p.m., Thursday, July 11, 2019 at Countryview Terrace, Louisville, Illinois.

The funeral service will be held Saturday, July 20 at 4 p.m. at Gieseking Funeral Home, Altamont with Rev. Bruce Sasse officiating. A visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. Saturday prior to the service. Dale Eugene Stone was born Saturday, March 20, 1954 in Breese, to Rev. Carl L. and Shirley J. (Pierce) Stone. He was a member of Columbus Baptist Church, Keyesport. He was employed previously at John Boos, Effingham for 28 years, and was currently employed at Community Support Services, Teutopolis. He loved to fish, hunt mushrooms, and raise rabbits. He was a wonderful gardener and loved roses, enjoyed westerns, and was known to spin a good story now and again.

He is survived by his mother, Shirley Stone, Effingham; sons, James Stone, Altamont, Darrin Stone, Effingham, Kevin (Bethany) Stone, Altamont, Dale Stone, Jr., Altamont, and Joseph Stone, Altamont; daughters, Kendra (Ian) Cox, Davis, and Stephanie Stone, Humboldt; siblings, Susan (Glen) Slater, Clinton, IN, Linda Roedl, Effingham, Melissa (Clarence) Vail, Stewardson, Tim (Donna) Stone, Harrisburg, Janie (Mike) Goldstein, Effingham, Dave (Ruth) Stone, Vandalia, Belinda (Tommy) Koontz, Mulberry Grove, Kenny (Marcy) Stone, Vandalia, Carl, Jr. (Marta) Stone, Carlyle, and Stephanie Mason, Girard and grandchildren, Lexi, Kersten, Kolton, and Everleigh Stone.

He was preceded in death by; his father; brothers, Paul Lee Stone in infancy and Mike Stone.
