Betty Fae Yocum, 86, of Toledo, IL passed away at 3:14 A.M Thursday, May 2, 2019 at Heartland Christian Village in Neoga, IL.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, May 6 at the Salem United Methodist 1327 Co. Rd. 450 N. Toledo, IL. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 6:00 PM Sunday evening at the Barkley Funeral Chapel in Greenup, IL. Burial will be at the Salem Cemetery.

Betty was born January 15, 1933 in Moccasin Twp. in Effingham County to Frank and Laura Mabele (Doty) Tipsword. She married William E. Yocum on March 2, 1952 at the First Baptist Church in Effingham, IL. He preceded her in death on January 2, 2002.

Surviving are sons Bill (Sue) Yocum of Montrose and Dennis (Kristi) Yocum of Toledo; sister Dalyne Sapp of Effingham; eight grandchildren Heather (Travis) James, Dana Yocum, Nate (Jen) Yocum, Brittany (Nick) Gilbert, Nick (Chelsea) Yocum, Erin (Dave) Bradshaw, Kristen (Shawn) Allen and Kevin (Rosie) Ebel; 18 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, grandson Zak Yocum, brothers Keith, Deane and Hugh Tipsword and sisters Gayle Norris and Francis White.

Betty was a homemaker and had been a secretary for the Cumberland School District and for Dr. Webb in Effingham. She and husband Bill owned the Montgomery Ward Store in Greenup for about 10 years.
