Karen K. Goldstein, 69, of rural Altamont, died at 7:00 a.m. Monday, January 7, 2019 at her home.

Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, January 10 at St. Clare Catholic Church, Altamont with Rev. Christudasan Kurisadima officiating. Burial will follow at St. Clare Cemetery, Altamont. A rosary service will begin at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday with visitation to follow from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.at Gieseking Funeral Home, Altamont. Memorials may be made to donor’s choice.

Karen K. Goldstein was born Wednesday, July 6, 1949 in Flora to Paul and Martha (Young) Landreth. She married Carl J. ‘CJ’ Goldstein on October 24, 1970 at St. Anne Catholic Church, Edgewood. She was a member of St. Clare Catholic Church, Altamont. She enjoyed decorating cakes for many years. She was employed at Flach Construction Co., Effingham Medical Center, TSI Graphics, and Becker Wash-N-Dry before retiring ten years ago.

Karen is survived by her husband, daughter, Susan Becker (Jon), Altamont, and son John Goldstein (Cheryle), Altamont, her siblings, Aaron (Terri) Landreth, Steve (Ramona) Landreth, Sue (Ronnie) Tolliver, Roy (Lois) Landreth, and grandchildren Emily and Matthew Becker and Holly Goldstein.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her stepfather, Ed McHenry, and her brother, Gary Landreth.
