Jeremy Richardson, 44, of Effingham, IL, passed away on Friday, December 14, 2018 at his home.
Funeral services will be held at noon 12 noon Tuesday, December 18 at Johnson Funeral Home in Effingham. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery in Effingham. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to noon Tuesday prior to the service.

Jeremy was born on January 11, 1974, in Springfield, IL, the son of Ross and Sandra (Smith) Richardson.
Jeremy was employed by the Effingham County Sheriff’s Department for over twenty years. He was an avid history buff and performed historical reenactments in the Effingham area. Jeremy enjoyed spending time with his mother, father, brother, and family.
Jeremy is survived by his parents, Ross and Sandra Richardson of Effingham; and brother, Scott Richardson of Lafayette, IN.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Dr. Jack and Marguerite Richardson and Elmer and Ruth Smith.
