Louise D. Ryder, 81, of Neoga, Illinois passed away at 7:00 P.M. Wednesday, December 12, 2018, in the Mattoon Rehabilitation and Health Care Center of Mattoon, Illinois.

She was born May 13, 1937, in Cumberland County, Illinois, the daughter of Orvil C. and Bessie E. (Davis) Casstevens. Louise graduated from the Neoga High School and she married Arthur "Art" Ryder January 29, 1956, in Hernando, Mississippi. She was a member of the Home Missionary Church of Neoga, Illinois, a member of the Mode Camp of Mode, Illinois, was a house wife, a home maker, a former employee of the Kern Manufacturing Company of Neoga and a babysitter. Louise never met a stranger; she was a very happy person and she loved to visit and she enjoyed talking to everyone.

Louise leaves her husband Arthur "Art" Ryder of Neoga, after sixty-two years of marriage. She also leaves four Children, Lewis P. Ryder (Ruth) of Neoga, Illinois, Linda L. Helm (Wesley) of Oblong, Illinois, David L. Ryder (LaVella) and Donna L. Owens all of Neoga, Illinois; brother-in-law, Richard Ebbert and one sister-in-law, Norma Wallace both from Montrose, Illinois; ten grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Mrs. Ryder was preceded in death by Parents; two brothers, Donald and Lloyd Casstevens; two sisters, Lois White and Edith Casstevens; one grandson, Kyle Owens.

Memorials may be made to the Mode Camp of Mode, Illinois in care of Lewis Ryder, Treasure, P.O. Box 195 of Neoga, Illinois, 62447.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, December 19 at the Swengel-O'Dell Funeral Home of Neoga, Illinois with Rev. Gene Creek officiating. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P. M. Tuesday. Burial will be in the Mullen Cemetery, rural Montrose, Illinois.
