Lola Evelyn (Lawrence) Crawford, 89, of Mattoon, Illinois, passed away at 3:15 a.m.., Friday, November 23, 2018, in the Mattoon Rehabilitation & Health Care Center of Mattoon.

Graveside memorial services will be held at 11 am Saturday, December 1, in the Zion Hill Cemetery, Paradise Twp., Coles County. Burial will be in the Zion Hill Cemetery. Lola was born May 23, 1929, in Cottonwood Twp., Cumberland County, the daughter of Henry and Lurline (McCartney) Lawrence. She graduated from Neoga Township High School. Lola married Robert Louis "Louie" Crawford, August 21, 1953, in Mattoon. Lola was a retired printer for the Journal Gazette Company of Mattoon, and a member of the Mattoon Bowling Club for over 20 years.

Lola and her family wanted to give special thanks to all the great healthcare specialists who gave her first class healthcare to extend her life and allowed her to spend many happy years with her family: Dr. Joag and his nurses and staff; Dr. Hoppin; Dr. Shakir; Dr. Jagarlamudi; Gail Cook; all the wonderful nurses and staff at the Sarah Bush Lincoln Regional Cancer Center and Health Center; Dr. Batey at Carle Digestive Health Institute; Dr. Stevens at Prairie Heart Institute: and all the fabulous physical therapists, nurses, healthcare specialists, and staff at Mattoon Rehabilitation & Health Care Center.

Lola leaves her loving husband, Robert L. "Louie" Crawford, after 65 years of marriage. She also leaves sons, Kelly (Kathy) Crawford of Mattoon; Randy (Joanna) Crawford of Henderson, NV: brother, Robert M. Lawrence of Mattoon; sister-in-law, Pauline (Lawrence) Hoelscher; grandchildren, Kacy Crawford (Eric Janes) of Denver, CO, Abigail Crawford and Charlotte Crawford, both of Henderson, NV: special friend, Doris (Lindley) Armbruster of Ontario, CA. (who is like a sister to her).

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Gene Lawrence.
