Mary L. Muntean, 82, of Effingham, IL, passed away on Monday, November 12, 2018.
According to Mary’s wishes, cremation rites will be accorded. There will be no services held. Johnson Funeral Home in Effingham is assisting the family. Online condolences may be shared by clicking here.
Mary was born on September 18, 1936, in Effingham, IL, the daughter of John W. and Florence L. (Shadwell) Pippen. Mary enjoyed crocheting, doing puzzles, and cooking.
Mary is survived by her daughter, Terry Lynn Miller; son, Darrell D. Johnson; several grandchildren; sister, Alice Welton; half-brothers, Wallace Gerhardt and Kenneth Gerhardt; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sons, Robert Owens and Timothy Owens; siblings, Virginia Elledge, John Pippin, Kathleen Rawlings, Florence Mast, Alfred Pippin, Robert Pippin, and James Pippin; and half-brother, Herbert Gerhardt.
